After the successful launch of VR Hotel in mid-April 2024, a new version 2.0 was released today with numerous improvements.
The key changes to the application are:
- A new environment inside the VR headset. The virtual room, which can be personalized in the colors and logo of the hotel brand, consists of four virtual walls on which various promotional content can be displayed. Also, the possibility of 3D floating banners inside the virtual room was introduced, which you can see in the next photo on the “All you need is head” banner.
- Presentation of VR 360 and classic 2D videos. In a “spherical” way that is unusual in itself and tells that something great is happening after watching, it enables an attractive rotating display of videos while they are not yet opened. By looking into the rotating ball, a VR 360 or 2D video opens. After watching, a video is loaded that offers a completely different experience, immersive and quality in high video quality.
- “Close” video. The option of exiting the video that is being watched, from the user’s point of view, which did not exist before. The previous version did not have the option to exit the video independently, while this new version has now been improved and by looking at the “Close” tab, any user can exit the video that is currently being watched.
- Brand new proprietary CMS (content management system). A new CMS system was built through which clients in the hotel industry have full control in managing the entire content of VR Hotel. Through the new system, you can completely influence the type of content, texts, colors and other important details related to the arrangement of materials inside the VR Hotel.
- 3-DoF with a better sense of virtual space. VR Hotelo is still 3-DoF (degrees of freedom), but the sense of virtual space is better. The option of a four-sided virtual room with the ability to change the color, parts and shape of the walls, offers a wide range of uses for clients.
